Learning Disability offers training events, courses and consultancy services to anyone involved in the care or support of people with learning disabilities. Our courses are designed to bring competence to the practice setting and to benefit the service user.
We have a range of courses to meet the needs of those with little if any previous knowledge to those who are more advanced. In this section are examples of some of the courses offered. Best Interest Assessors Training
Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards come into force on the 1 April 2009 (Mental Capacity Act 2005). Best Interest Assessors (BIA) may find that their current skills and expertise requires further development. We are providing the following courses to those interested in developing their skills in the field of assessment of adults with a learning disability.
