Protecting vulnerable adults, particularly those with a learning disability is an essential part of reducing the incidents of abuse, whether in the community, care homes or at home. Reporting abuse is a morale responsibility for all of us. Many people may question whether or not they are making the right decision? If you suspect abuse you should contact the Police, Local Social Services Department, Care Quality Commission (CQC), Primary Care Trust (PCT) or Hospital Manager.
